Privacy Policy
We built VyClip so you can edit videos in your browser without sending files anywhere else. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
1. Data We Process Locally
All video processing (splitting, compressing, converting, extracting audio, creating GIFs, and watermarking) happens entirely within your browser . We never upload your media files to our servers or to third parties. Once you close the tab, your files leave your device memory.
2. Account & Payment Data
VyClip does not require an account and does not charge for usage, so we do not collect names, emails, passwords, or payment details.
3. Analytics & Ads
We use Google Tag Manager to manage marketing scripts, Google Analytics to understand product usage, and Google AdSense to display ads that fund the free tools. These services may set cookies or read device identifiers to measure traffic and personalize ads. Data collected through these services is stored and processed by Google according to their policies. We do not combine analytics data with any media files you process on VyClip.
You can opt out of Google Analytics across the web by installing the official browser add-on or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.
4. Cookies
VyClip does not use functional cookies to store your preferences. Google Analytics and AdSense may set third-party cookies for measurement and advertising. You can clear these cookies at any time via your browser settings.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Aggregated analytics data may be shared with service providers solely to improve the product. As noted above, your uploaded media never leaves your device.
6. Children's Privacy
VyClip is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy when we launch new features or adjust our analytics/advertising stack. The “Last updated” date will always reflect the most recent change.
